Some days I feel like this.

Song of the Day

King and Pawn by Common Heroes. Good luck trying to find a copy (They were a local, Seattle band that broke up a few years ago).

Confession

I just realized I spent more on myself this Christmas season, than I did on all of the gifts I gave put together. I like to think of myself as a relatively kind, generous person but this is obviously not true.

Fort

Zach and I have began construction of a snow bunker.

We’ll see how far we get.

The storage container and trash can that we have been using as molds can be glimpsed in the backgrounds of these pics. The black sled visible in the second shot was used for transporting blocks from other areas of the yard.

Snow!

In the last few days a fair bit of snow has fallen on the Seattle area (at least by our own mild standards). This unusual weather has been both obnoxious and rather pleasant.

On the one hand, the ice has prevented me from doing a lot of my late Christmas shopping. It has kept me from making it to a couple board gaming events and forced me to leave early from those that I was able to attend. It has made getting to work an enormous pain.

On the other hand, it’s been nice to be forced to take things easy for a few days. I got Friday off from work. Friday, I was able to play games through the night at a friends house and since I arrived back home on Saturday morning I haven’t had to leave the house. I’ve had time to consume lots of cookies and cocoa and finish book #101 (Soon I Will be Invincible – Austin Grossman).

Today, despite 8-10 inches of snow and icy roads, I have to go back to work. All good things must come to an end.

Success!

I finished book number 100 this afternoon. Then I started 101.
