Mount Si After Action Report:
The ascent up the mountain was very slow, but a good time was had by all. We had a large turnout. Justin, Josh, Nat, Aaron, Melissa, Emily, Arita and I met up at the trail head around 2:00, ate a quick lunch and started up about 2:30. The last person struggled over the peak a few minutes until 6.
The top of the mountain afforded gorgeous views of the Cascades, particularly Mount Ranier.
Because people had different hiking speeds and endurance the party broke into smaller groups. I am proud to report my sisters made it up in the first group. You ladies rock! (pun intended)
After reaching the top, Justin, Melissa and I took opportunity to practice our photography and climbing skills.
Today, I am hurting. Jumping off of stone pinnacles onto loose rock was probably a poor choice. Running full tilt down the mountain was another one. I’m paying for my indiscretion.

I truly enjoyed the hike. Yesterday has made it into the Annals of Awesomeness. It turned out a lot better than I had hoped for.
That is a pretty sweet picture, with you on the rock, hands stretched out. Looks like a beautiful hike.
Yup, that pretty much looks like an absolute blast. :)
