This past weekend was more leisurely than the few which preceded it. After rising delightfully late on Saturday morning, I did some chores around the house, watched my siblings so that my mother could get a well-earned nap, baked soft spice cookies, finally ending the day by going over to a friend’s to play pinochle.
Sunday, after going to church with Dad, I raked and mowed our newly thatched lawn and then ran camera for the evening service at Mars Hill.
All in all, it was a nice rest from the work of the week.
