I don’t think I’ve mentioned it on this blog yet, but Trebonte and I started attending Mars Hill Church in Ballard in December. I had been watching Pastor Mark Driscoll’s sermons online for about a year while I was in Japan and so when I arrived back in Seattle I decided to give his church a try.
Trebonte and I have greatly benefited from the preaching and teaching we’ve heard and we appreciate the great worship music. Mars Hill seems to be a good fit. Anyhow, to make a long story short, when it was mentioned that Mars Hill was short on camera operators, we volunteered to help out.
On Tuesday, I ran camera at MHC for the first time for the Resurgence conference. I filmed three 1.5 hr segments and two shorter ones. It was a long day but I think I did alright. At least I didn’t botch any shots. I appreciate the opportunity to serve and I was delighted to see a handful of great speakers (including Jim Gilmore, Matt Chandler and Dr. John Piper).
