Does anyone else find the fact that the Syrians likely purchased nuclear material from North Korea alarming?
At least the Israelis had the guts to do something about it.

Working Hard

14Sep07

I think this is shaping up to be the most challenging semester I have so far experienced. I guess that’s fitting seeing as it will be my last before graduation.
Currently, I have three papers due in the near future with more to follow in the next couple weeks. In an attempt to assess how bad […]

Back from Kyoto

Teru invited Justin and I to take a trip to Kyoto and we eagerly accepted. We left Saturday morning and it took about five hours of driving before we arrived in Japan’s former capital. Torrential Rain

05Sep07

As I prepared for school this morning, I looked outside and was dismayed to see sheets of rain falling from the sky. As a native Seattlite rain doesn’t ussually bother me too much, if anything it’s a sweet relief from the accursed Tokyo heat. However, I am also a bicycle commuter and continuous buckets of […]

Fuji-san, WorldCon and Teaching

05Sep07

I’ve gotten rather busy lately. While school has been chaotic and irritating due to a rash of problems with my course schedule I have been managing to carve out a little time for other activities.
On Saturday, Justin and I went with our friend Teru to Mount Fuji. With some effort we ascended the steep rocky […]

Yuck!

I ended up in Women in Literature AND Political Science: Bashing Bush While Denigrating Capitalism and Liberty in General. Neither course holds a great deal of appeal for me.
I just want to graduate.
