I’ve gotten rather busy lately. While school has been chaotic and irritating due to a rash of problems with my course schedule I have been managing to carve out a little time for other activities.
On Saturday, Justin and I went with our friend Teru to Mount Fuji. With some effort we ascended the steep rocky slopes all the way to the peak. Unfortunately, the whole trip was shrouded in some of the thickest fog I have yet seen. As a result, we weren’t able to enjoy the supposedly superb views possiTodble from the top of the mountain. Nevertheless, it was a fun trip and the experience was worth the exertion.
Sunday afternoon, after church, Justin and I went to World Science Fiction Convention in Yokohama. Since we weren’t willing to pay the $200 admission fee we were only allowed into a small portion of the exhibits. While we were in Yokohama we decided that we might as well see the citiy’s historic Chinatown. All in all, a good trip.
Yesterday, I met my first language student. Nozomi is the president of a small web design firm who wants to improve his conversation skill so that he can more effectively communicate at an upcoming conference in Las Vegas. I enjoyed working with him and I am thankful to have an opportunity to earn a little extra spending cash.
Today was less exciting, I spent the entire day trapped at school. Oh well, such is life.

I heard about Fuji. That is teh bomb! I’ll do it after Kilimanjaro. :)
So how much do you get paid for your English conversation sessions?
