Shortly after arriving in Japan on the 17th, I wrote what I thought was a really nice blog post describing my trip. Unfortunately, I mistakenly deleted it.
So here’s the short version: The trip went smoothly, I had no trouble going through immigration and customs but unfortunately Justin wasn’t able to make it.
And now the update: Justin will be arriving in Japan shortly and in about an hour I’m going to head to the airport to retrieve him. Right now he is in the air some where over the Pacific Ocean, likely off the coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Penninsula.
So far I’ve mostly enjoyed being back. I managed to arrive in a cool spell, with weather in the low eighties instead of the high nineties. I’ve been hanging out with Keiko and Shou and since school doesn’t start till the 27th, I’ve had some time to do a lot of reading.
I’ve also arranged a meeing with Megumi, a Japanese college student who will be staying with my family as an exchange student this fall. I’ll be getting together with her on Saturday.
