Busy Times

08Aug07

The last few weeks have rushed by in a blur. I really haven’t done anything terribly interesting as work has been keeping busy and tired. Aside from a survival campout, a few Risk tournaments, a visit from out of state friends and activities with our Japanese exchange student, my life has been a steady routine of wake, work, sleep and repeat.

Since I don’t have much interesting to report on the daily happenings front here is a list of the books I managed to squeeze in in the month of July:

The Broker - John Grisham
Mortal Engines - Phillip Reeve
The Giver - Lois Lowry
Four Against the Arctic - David Roberts
Slander - Ann Coulter
Predator’s Gold - Phillip Reeve
Infernal Devices - Phillip Reeve
Nothing Like it in the World - Stephen Ambrose
Band of Brothers - Stephen Ambrose
Age and Guile Beat Youth, Innocence and a Bad Haircut - P.J. O’Rourke
Republican Party Reptile - P.J. O’Rourke
Gathering Blue - Lois Lowry
Animal Farm - George Orwell
Lord of the Flies - William Golding
Orthodoxy - G.K. Chesterton
Starship Troopers - R.A. Heinlein
A Darkling Plain - Phillip Reeve
War of the Worlds - H.G. Wells

What did you think of “The Giver”? I read it awhile back, so it’s not that clear in my mind, but it struck me as a rather wierd book!
