The Opinion Journal includes an interesting article about faith on the front lines this week.

Where does one draw the line though? It seems like an easy answer to claim that sacrificial love should be for your brother, but aren’t we told to utilize that same love for our enemy?

The article seems to relegate God to one corner of the battlefield (that of saving lives) and the actions of the armies to another corner, something that God wouldn’t consider. I have no doubt that faith “undoubtedly offers comfort and strength to those in need, especially troops confronting their own mortality.”

I am amazed though, this kind of article being published in the Wall Street Journal. That’s nice to know that they are willing to publish material that most wouldn’t consider, merely because of the word Christian.
