Welcome to the new home of The Rabenstranger. After more than two years using Blogger’s free hosting, the time has come for my blog to have a home of its own. As the readers from my previous blog know, I have been working on this site on and off for a couple months now. While it isn’t perfect yet, I think that as is, it’s an improvement. After taking a minute to poke around, tell me what you think in the comments. Let me show you around.
CMS:
I have joined the legions of bloggers using WordPress. Wordpress is a free, open source blogging tool. I haven’t the technical language profficency to do justice to its myriad wonders. It seems to be the Firefox of blogging software, with a plethora of themes, plugins and widgits available for use at no cost. It also has an active and responsive support community.
Theme:
I am using the advanced and eminately modifiable K2 template. It also has a forum full of volunteers that will answer questions, tell you how to fix things and give good advice on modifying the theme to fit with your style.
Hosting:
At the recommendation of Wordpress support I am using AN Hosting. So far I haven’t had any difficulties with them. Since they’re my first host, I really can’t compare them to anyone else. All I can say for sure is thanks to online coupons, they are very affordable.

This site is still under construction. Like most of my projects, it will probably remain “in progress” until it is abandoned. Expect changes(hopefully improvements) in the days to come. I am eager to hear any comments, complaints or suggestions you have. Feel free to email me.
