Yen

Palm Boy asks, "What is the ratio to yen and dollars?"

As I write this, a broker can buy 116.32 yen for a dollar. This translates to 1 yen equaling .86 cents. Click on the above graph to see exchange rates for the past year.

To check up to date currency exchange rates I recommend Yahoo Finance.

.86 can buy you a yen. And that's it. [/insert witty comment here]

So how much does a typical lunch costs in yens or dollars for those who are too lazy to do the math?

For the record, the plural of yen is yen, yens isn't really a word.

Anyhow a typical lunch can cost anywhere between 257 yen(for the hotdog and drink I bought yesterday) and 2000+ depending what you consider to be typical.

Hey. I wish my grocery shopping were that interesting. It's just been fifty trips to Walmart. Oh, by the way, did you find dishrags? :) I actually remembered thoses. Too bad I forgot my piano books.

But the real question is how many yen is it for a Coke?

Yes we now have a dishrag. My room mate conned one out of his girlfriend's mom.

As for Coke, it costs 120 yen per can.
