As Time Flies
Tonight I babysat while my parents and sisters went to one of my best friend's sister's wedding.
I must say this is a scary reminder that time is speeding forward despite my desire for a more leisurely path to adult hood.
I remember when Stephanie was seven and I was five and she drew me pictures. I remember playing hide and seek with Tage and his sisters in their basement with all the lights out. Those good ol' days were years ago but they don't feel that far back.
The scariest part is knowing that she's only a couple of years older than I am and I'm probably not to many years behind her.
Moving out, supporting myself and eventually getting married are rapidly moving from the distant future towards the near future.

Ha! I know exactly what you mean. I am 5.5 months away from being eighteen. In that amount of time, I start going to university, maybe moving out, supporting myself, getting married someday???, and all that. It is really weird to think about, but then again really exciting. There are so many cool things just waiting for me to experience.
Well I am so sorry for you people! I being a lucky little fifteen year old, have a few more years until I have to do much of anything!
I have exactly 3.10 years until I'm 18, ahhhhh happy blissfulness!
This year in particular seems to have gone exceptionally fast, for me. I guess moving twice within a year can do that...
So many exciting things to experience! I encourage you to be looking forward to the things God has for you--they are not scary as long as you follow His leading!
I know what you mean....I just realized that one of my closest friends will be 17 in January (we are the same age, and I can remember when we were both 13), and Katlyn will be 18 in June! It's crazy. I'm starting to feel kind of old even though I'm only 16. What's really alarming is how fast time is suddenly going. I can't believe I'm almost halfway through 11th grade.
Don't worry, guys don't have to get married until they can provide for a family and are mature, and I estimate that age for guys is about 26.
