Suicide Shopping!

Today I dragged myself out of bed at 0430 to hit the Black Friday sales with my Mom and sibs. Dad stayed home with Zach and Maddie.

We hit Fry's electronics first. We arrived a few minutes before it opened at 0500 and got in the line that stretched around all four sides of the building (for those of you unfamiliar with Fry's it is about the size of a Costco or Super Walmart). Fortunately, we were able to get what we wanted without having to mug anyone. It's annoying when you have to beat someone down to get the sale item*. Although I must say, shopping is only fun when it's competitive.

Arita, Emily and I each bought ourselves a Creative MuVo MP3 player. They may not be state of the art but for $20 they're not bad.

After that I went to some places, mostly stores and bought some stuff. I'm sure you'd all throw a total stranger into a rack of leftover turkeys to know where I went but as a Lord of Intrigue and Mystery I must conceal my shopping habits. Particularly, since I bought gifts for people who might read this before Christmas.

Anyhow, we finished up and arrived home at 0930. I put in 5 hrs. of shopping before the time I like to get up, a fact which I find vaguely disgusting.

*This is a joke. I don't condone consumer violence unless its target is a total idiot**.
