The Wild Wolverines
Every Wednesday night I help out at church with the Ranger Kids. Tonight my kids were relatively well behaved and we made alot of progress on our patrol flag. My hard work on trying to get some of the roudier boys to shape up seems to be paying dividends. At least I like to think I had something to do with it.
For those of you who don't know, Royal Rangers is a ministry for boys sponsered by the Assemblies of God. In the younger groups are like a cross between Awana and Cub Scouts. The older groups are like a strongly Christian version of the Boy Scouts.
I work as a Lieutenant Commander in the youngest age group, Ranger Kids (K-2nd). My main duty is serving as a Patrol Leader for five 2nd graders. We have chosen to be the "Wild Wolverines" patrol.

Tonight we worked on our patrol flags. Since the Ranger Kids Commnader (the top guy for the age group) wanted me to try and come up with something new for our flag (Apparently, he's tired of all the flags being rectangles.), I worked up a design which incorporates a circle inscribed in a square. It looks pretty sweet. Online, I found a clipart image of a snarling wolverine which our group unanimously voted as the picture for the flag.
So far we've got the basic flag design drawn out. Next week we should finish coloring it and I'll punch holes in it so that we can lace it onto our poles. It should look pretty sweet.
Anyways, that's what I've been up to tonight.

Cute? I don't think they were going for the cuteness factor...
You post a picture of it when your are done and post it.
They may not have been going for cute, but I have to agree, it is. :-P haha, very. It's just the idea of those little guys thinking they're all tough, hee hee. Well, I haven't heard of the Royal Rangers, but at Lifeway we have the Royal Ambassadors, which is Baptist I guess. I'm not Baptist and the store "isn't" Baptist, but they sell mostly Baptist stuff. I work there. It's interesting.
Hehe, Wild Wolverines...
I've never heard of the Royal Rangers...
As my darling Mama and Me stated, I was in Royal Rangers when I was in grade school. I would have to say that I really enjoyed it. I also think of Wolverine from X-Men when you talk about the "Wild Wolverine"...little ones that age can definately act like them to...
