Securing the Border
Michael Chertoff, the Homeland Security Secretary, announced today the adaptation of a policy to deport every illegal immigrant that crosses the border. While I think that this a step in the right direction, I am skeptical on how effective the proposed restructuring of our border enforcement efforts will be.

That is indeed a step in the right direction but, as you mentioned, it still remains to see what actually does end up happening.
Cool! A new book...
I will be watching to see if they actually follow through with the expressed intentions. Living in California, there is a large amount of politcal backing for illegals and many times there is a "politically correct" stance taken. It will be interesting if they cave to the pressure...
