The Unexpected Death of a Faithful Servant
My computer which has served me very well for the last two years has met an unfortunate demise.
I allowed my younger brother to use my machine to check his status on library holds. He came up to my room a few minutes later proclaiming that my computer was making funny noises and was frozen.
Naturally, I was horrified for my computer is by far my most valuable and valued possession. I use it several hours a day for everything from communication to gaming, from homework to my jobsearch. This problem has come at a very bad time, as I am currently looking for a job and have alot of time on my hands.
I rushed down to my baby to find the screen frozen. I attempted a restart but after shutting off the computer would not restart. It powers up but the screen does not come up at all. I thought the problem might lie with my video card or monitor, so I switched video cards and monitors. This did not fix the problem. At this point I believe the problem is with the motherboard, necessitating a complete replacement of my machine.
As a result,I am unlikely to have consistent computer access during the near future. Although I will try to keep my blog up to date (I am currently using a library computer), it is likely that posting will become less frequent.

I'm sorry to hear your bad news! I'll check back for postings. Hope you can get a new set up - maybe a new motherboard ebay style? *shrug*
No way! That really stinks....
Thanks for the info on "The Phantom of the Opera". Mucho appreciato!
aw that's so sad. :( I don't know what I'd do if my computer messed up. I guess the library would be my second home. I'd set up a tent or something. Good luck on the job search!
That's sad guys. Sad about your computer and sad about your attachment to it! :) But yes, I think I would panic too if I lost mine.
