Most linguists would argue that there is no such thing as “General American English.” But according to this test I’m 60% “General American English” whatever that means. In reality I’m probably 75% Northwestern (I’ve lived there most of my life), 10% Southern (I reckon I pick stuff up way too quickly), 10% Canadian/Northern Midwest (I hang out with people from Alberta, Wisconsin, and Minnesota), and 5% West-London English.
What does Switchfoot have to do with the American language? I might see them in concert on the 23rd if I can get free tickets, otherwise I'm not going.
