I'm not Dead Yet
Greetings Fellow Citizens and Lowly Peons (I’ll let you decide which you are),
While I have acquired all of the new components necessary for my computer to rise again, I am having a great deal of difficulty getting things to load properly. As a result my posting is likely to continue in its sporadicity (Yes, I did indeed make that word up).
I am currently experiencing an extreme case of PC withdrawal. Symptoms include detachment, irritability, loss of attention and severe stomach pains. The last one probably isn’t from the withdrawal. I hope I’m not getting the flu.
This last week was eventful. On Monday I helped Dad on a job ripping up multiple layers of plywood with crowbars, as described in my previous post. Wednesday, I attempted and failed to get my computer running without all of my components, then that evening I began helping out with the Ranger Kids at church (For those of you who don’t know RK is kind of like a Christian version of Cub Scouts for K-2nd graders.). Thursday and Friday, I worked at the Printery. Saturday, I painted the front office at the Shop. Yesterday, I went to church then did everything I could think of to cajole my computer into accepting an operating system. Today is Emily’s first day of class at BCC so I’m showing her around and making sure she finds her classes. In return I have appropriated her account in the Computer Lab to get a little screen time.
