Bob and Larry are Fruits!

Bob and Larry are not vegetables. They are fruits. I know I am risking condemnation as a heretic for pointing this out but the truth must prevail. It seems people don't like their favorite characters being called fruits.
A fruit is the matured ovary of a flower, containing the seed. After fertilization takes place and the embryo (plantlet) has begun to develop, the surrounding ovule becomes the fruit. Tomatoes and Cucumbers both fit this definition.
A vegetable is an edible root, tuber, stem, leaf, or flower cluster. Bob and Larry fit into none of these categories.
I'm sorry to crush your faith in the scientific accuracy of the Big Idea team but I just couldn't allow people to continue being decieved.

How dare Big Idea do such a thing?!?!?!
It looks like we're going to have to raid their headquarters and punish them all, now. I've got the tar. You get the feathers.
Ha ha! I knew that, but I thought it would be nice to dash people's hopes and dreams like that. How awful!!!........Okay, I'm just kidding. :<)

You have ruined my day, Mr. Strange! How do you suppose that I should break this news to my kids? Maybe I should just keep this info to myself because as they say, "what you don't know won't hurt you"!
What?! This is an outrage! Burn him! Heresy! We can't accept this false perverion of reality! Bob and Larry are vegetables and they will always be so!
I would like to point out that Bob and Larry are not the only non-vegatable members of the veggy tale gang. What about the peach in the hair brush song? Or the grapes of wrath?
Actually, there is no botanical definition of a vegetable. Those roots, tubers, stems, and flower clusters of which you speak are not grouped into any particular category as edible or anything else. There is a legal definition decided by the US Congress a long time ago as to what can/cannot be considered a fruit/vegitable for agricultural purposes.
Tis very true...sad how Veggie Tales is teaching myths to children ::pun intended::.
Well, what kind of weirdo decided to confuse people with the whole a tomato is/a tomato isn't a veggie?
Well, I think that they're 3D models with crappy textures on them.
But that's just me.
You would think that, Shadow Walker. And you would be wrong.
