Pit Fight
Yesterday afternoon I was walking past my neighbor’s house and saw something that disturbed me. There were four or five little kids, most likely between the ages of 4-6 and they were basically cage fighting. All the kids dads were standing around and cheering them on with shouts of, “Get up!”, “Hit him again!” and “Kick him while he’s down!”. I don’t recall my mommy or daddy making me fight when I was in preschool or kindergarten.
These neighbors who happen to be black provided a perfect demonstration of why “African American” kids get in more trouble and go on to commit more crimes than their white and Asian peers. It is not because of racism it is because of the way their parents bring them up. It isn’t a white people problem it’s a black people problem.

oh mt goodness thats horrible that those perents would do that to their children, it makes me sick...
That is so shocking and sad!
There is a problem common in some circles of African American families in which the fathers are generally absent and the mothers are trying to subsist on foodstamps. I have been learning about it in a sociology class this semseter. The family unit has been really distorted and destroyed! Oftentimes the mothers are in their teens and are single.
This culture needs the reconciliation and healing of God's grace in their lives and families, just as "white" families do. I think that non-Christian white families just show their brokenness in different ways.
This is an important social problem to be aware of and to allow to break one's heart for the families and children who undergo such harsh circumstances and living conditions!
Good grief.
Where's DSHS or whatever when we need them?
