Another Long Day

Please excuse the errors in this post, I have had a long day at school and am very tiresd. Additionally, my eyes are currently diliated due to today's visit to the optomitrist.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way I can attempt to create a coherent post for my reader(s). Today I came to the unfortunate realization that the degree towards which I am currently working has been updated in such a was as to invalidate several of the classes I have already completed. The irritation I feel compels me to demolish something. Because spreading destruction would at the very least cause me future trouble and could lead to my arrest, I am instead ranting on my blog.

Won't your college allow you to use the degree requirements that had been established when you entered into your degree plan?

Say you went started college in 2003 and the degree requirements change in 2004. Everyone who starts college after that (and prior to anyother changes) has to adhere to the new requirements, but you get to go by the 2003 because that was where you began.

That's the way it was for me. Maybe you should speak to your college advisor.

I think that it depends on the program. With most programs you are only obligated to fulfill the requirements that were established when you were formally admitted to the program. There are a few programs that I have seen, all in the technology field, where classes will be obsolete in a year or two, which nullifies it as a requirement; but there are provisions to make up for this.
